At the meeting, Professor Kim gave a lecture entitled:”An Introduction to Quantum Information Science”. This new area of study is based on the idea that information science depends on quantum physics. It includes theoretical issues in computational modeling, as well as experimental topics in quantum physics, including what can and cannot be done with quantum information. Currently theoretical Quantum Information Science is being studied in some developed countries and will increase competition in the IT sector.

Dr. Dinh Trung Hoa, from the DTU Center for Research and Development, said: “Researching Quantum Information Science helps to accelerate the development of Information Technology and other disciplines. I hope that this meeting will open up opportunities for DTU to collaborate on research projects and to reap significant rewards this exciting, new area.”
