DTU Reap High Rewards in the 2013 National Loa Thanh Tournament
Competing with many excellent students from sixteen universities and colleges nationwide, DTU won several valuable prizes in the 2013 National Loa Thanh Tournament, including one second, two third and one consolation prize. These achievements reflected the significant return on investment in education and research at DTU and the creativity of the Architecture and Construction students.

The "Hon La-Quang Binh Resort Plan" of Nguyen Phuong Nam
DTU students competing in the Loa Thanh Tournament attached special importance to modern, realistic and purposeful buildings. The "Hon La-Quang Binh Resort Plan" by Nguyen Phuong Nam, who came in second, aimed to build a unique, eco-friendly resort in Quang Binh. "Designing the Cau Gie Highway Overpass in Ninh Binh" by Vu Dang Bien, who finished third, originated from the need to solve traffic jams in Ninh Binh. A project design of a resort complex in Son Tra, including exhibition halls, museums and amusement parks, named "The Blue Sea Arc" by Ho Thi Tuyet Nhi, also came in third place.
Two other Danang students won awards. They were from the Danang University of Technology, with two consolation prizes, and the Danang University of Architecture, with one consolation prize.

The “Blue Sea Arc” project, by Ho Thi Tuyet Nhi
Nguyen Phuong Nam, a DTU student, said: "Before starting my project, I spent a lot of time learning about the architecture and cultures of different parts of our country. I prepared this project a long time ago. I have just heard that the 'Hon La-Quang Binh Resort' is located near Vung Chua, which is the final resting place of General Vo Nguyen Giap. If my project is implemented, it will become an ideal place for tourists to visit the General’s tomb and enjoy the wonderful local scenery."
“This award meets one of my aspirations in my career in architecture. I thank DTU Architecture Faculty for their dedication and support. They provided me with all the latest information and inspired me to continue to foster my creativity and ambitions”, said Ho Thi Tuyet Nhi.
