On September 21st, a CEO shared some useful tips with DTU students. Mr. Nguyen Canh Binh, who received a Master’s degree in Petrochemical Technology, is Chairman of Board of Trustees and a Director of the Alpha Books Company. His hobby is writing for newspapers, but he is also an expert on books. According to him, books are the foundation for our intellectual development.
CEO Nguyen Canh Binh shared his successful tips
Currently, there are more and more types of entertainment for the younger generation, so it’s becoming more difficult to develop the business at Alpha Books and to maintain and grow the readership. During the talk, CEO Nguyen Canh Binh briefly talked about famous CEOs, such as Bill Gates, Joe Flom and so on. Until now, he has translated and published six books, including “How Was the Constitution of United State Drawn Up?”, “Portraits of Educational Reformers Around the World”, and “Ancient Greek Heroes”. Alpha Books Company is also preparing to publish “Skills Development Handbook for Youth”.
DTU students exchange ideas with the Alpha Books CEO
CEO Nguyen Canh Binh said: “DTU students own the precious assets of health, time and enthusiasm. However, everyone must be able to identify the trends and demands of modern society and ways to improve themselves. Youth is the foundation of a solid future, so students must take advantage of an international education at DTU. So you must try to learn more and practice more. After graduation, you may have difficulty applying for a job, but if you broaden your experience, you will be able to overcome that and succeed.”
Pham Minh Thanh from the IT Faculty said: “DTU lecturers have advised us to spend more time reading, as books can help us learn more. The talk with CEO Nguyen Canh Binh was really interesting. We gained more about ways to improve our motivation to pursue our ambitions.”
Many of the questions raised by DTU students were fully answered by CEO Nguyen Canh Binh. For examples, how to choose suitable books, tips for successful interviews and how to make your dreams come true. On this occasion, the Alpha Books Company awarded books to six students in the lucky draw game.
