DTU hosts the XXI National Students Mathematics Olympiad in Danang City
The XXI National Students Mathematics Olympiad is being hosted by Duy Tan University from April 9th to 13th, 3 in Danang. The Opening Ceremony was the Trung Vuong theatre on the evening of April 9th.


This is the first time that a private university has hosted an educational event of national importance.
In an announcement sent to local media and press on April 8th DTU wrote:

In order to stimulate study and research in Mathematics by students at national universities and colleges, the National Student Mathematics Olympiad is held annually, in collaboration with the Vietnam Mathematical Society, the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union, the Vietnam Students Association and MOET.
The organizers have confirmed that the 2013 Mathematics Olympiad is the biggest ever over the course of 20 years. Students will take examinations in Algebra and Analytics.
Together with the main activities of the XXI National Student Mathematics Olympiad will be held a conference on Innovative Teaching Methods in mathematics at technical institutes, a meeting between Olympiad students and experts and Professors of Mathematics, and a seminar to prepare for the 2014 Mathematics Olympiad.
Tours may be arranged to Ba Na Hills Resort, to the Ancient Town of Hoi An, to My Son and Hue Citadel for students to experience of traveling in Central Vietnam. The closing award ceremony will be held from 8 to 11am on April 13th at the Trung Vuong and will be televised live on VTV2.
