On August 20th, 2010, DTU’s leaders warmly welcomed a delegation from International Business Machines (IBM), the world’s leading I/T services provider.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Nguyen Bao, DTU’s Vice Rector introduced DTU. He noted that DTU already partners with CMU in teaching Information Technology. "We are looking forward to offering DTU students the opportunity to work as interns at IBM Vietnam. Their special training in I/T and English will prepare them well for such projects" Mr. Bao said.
IBM’s representatives will consider the DTU proposal and a partnership program. IBM said that they want to extend their relationships with many partners in Vietnam, including Duy Tan University and Danang University. Because of the special I/T education programs already at DTU, IBM hopes that the relationship will develop.
Through such internship projects DTU students would be able to use the most advanced technologies to become experts in their field.
