Another DTU International Partnership, with Penn State University

DTU has been continuously innovating to provide quality education. As well as enhancing state-of-the-art facilities and expert faculty, DTU now partners with prestigious universities worldwide.

Cooperation with the leading internatioal universities was strategic goal from day of its establishment. In 2008, DTU signed a memorandum with Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), one of the foremost American universities specializing in IT. After one year of negotiations, early in 2010, DTU reached an agreement with Penn State University (PSU) to partner in teaching Business Administration and Accounting after one year of negotiation.

PSU is one of the most reputable state universities in the US and was founded over 150 years ago with100,000 students studying at 24 campuses. PSU is one of five biggest public universities in US ranked 17th in in research and development worldwide and one of the best universities in the world.

Vietnamese Students seeking an international education will be offered the latest material and most modern teaching techniques in Business Administration and Accounting available anywhere. Students will be able to study with professional lecturers in a dynamic teaching environment. Common method used in the West will now be available such as group discussion and critical thinking. Students enrolled in these partnership will also be granted between18 and 24 international credits on completion and a PSU-licensed degree providing that their English ability is acceptable. The tuition fee will be 500 to 600 USD per year, which is lower than other international programs at other Vietnamese universities. After graduation, students can apply for both national and international careers.  

Commenting on these programs at DTU, Prof. Tran Hong Quan, formerly from the Ministry of Education and Training stated “DTU has developed international programs steadily step by step. DTU has thoughtfully provided a logical way to provide better qualified international graduates which will be highly appreciated by all”
