A solemn graduation ceremony was held at the Trung Vuong Theatre in Danang on the morning of May 31st, 2009.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of Professor Hoang Quang Thuan, Director of the Telecommunication Technology Institute, the journalist Phuong Hong, Director of Danang Radio and Television, Mr. Nguyen Thuong, Chairman of the People’s Committee of the Thanh Khe District, together with mass media from Danang.
Representing the university were Mr. Le Cong Co, the DTU President and Acting Rector, Mr Vo Thanh Hai, Mr. Le Duc Toan, Vice Rector, the entire faculty, the new 2009 DTU and their parents.
At the ceremony, Dr.Vo Thanh Hai delivered a warm speech. He congratulated the graduates after four or five years of hard study and praised the parents and teachers who contributed so much to the growth of the students.
On behalf of invited guests, Professor Hoang Quang Thuan said: “The university leaders, faculty and staff have all created a new and vigorous DTU. It is my conviction that Duy Tan University will rise to become one of the leading universities in Vietnam in the near future.”
The degree award ceremony went well, accompanied by happy background music. The highest achieving graduates went up on the stage excitedly and President Le Cong Co, Dr.Vo Thanh Hai and Dr.Vo Duc Toan awarded certificates, one by one.
On behalf of the students, Ms. Le Do Huynh Nhu emotionally expressed her gratitude to Duy Tan University by saying: “We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to our lecturers and our families and to promise to uphold the fine tradition of diligent study, innovation and to take full advantage of our knowledge in the service of our community and country.”
The degree ceremony for other new graduates was held on the afternoons of May 31st and June 1st, 2009.
With more than 1,000 graduates this year, once again Duy Tan University demonstrates its important contribution to education nationwide.
