DTU Signs Cooperation Agreement with Da Nang Vietnam-Korea Hospital
On June 15, 2026, DTU and Da Nang Vietnam-Korea Hospital officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), opening up numerous opportunities for cooperation in education, scientific research, and the development of high-quality healthcare human resources. The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Dang, Distinguished Teacher and Physician, Vice Provost of DTU, together with leaders of the University's specialized units. Representing Da Nang Vietnam-Korea Hospital were Specialist Level II Physician Nguyen Dinh Hung, Director of the Hospital, along with hospital administrators, experts, and representatives from various departments and functional units.

Formerly known as Quang Nam Central General Hospital, Da Nang Vietnam-Korea Hospital was established under Decision No. 428/QĐ-TTg dated April 16, 2007, issued by the Prime Minister. The hospital is currently a Grade-I healthcare facility with a planned capacity of 760 beds, comprising 34 departments and units and employing 772 officials, employees, and staff members. It has a highly qualified medical workforce with more than 160 physicians, approximately 60% of whom hold postgraduate degrees. In parallel, the hospital places strong emphasis on the training and development of its nursing staff, with more than 50% holding bachelor's or postgraduate degrees.
Over the years, Da Nang Vietnam-Korea Hospital has gradually mastered and routinely implemented numerous advanced medical techniques in key specialties, including cardiology, surgery, intensive care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory medicine, and interventional endoscopy. Together with a modern and comprehensively invested system of medical equipment, the hospital continuously improves the quality of medical examination and treatment services, meeting the growing healthcare needs of people in the Central and Central Highlands regions of Vietnam.

The signing ceremony marks a new milestone in the partnership between DTU and Da Nang Vietnam-Korea Hospital, aiming to leverage the strengths of both institutions to enhance the quality of health sciences education while addressing the growing demand for highly qualified healthcare professionals amid digital transformation and technological innovation in healthcare.
According to the agreement, DTU and Da Nang Vietnam-Korea Hospital will jointly implement a range of key activities, including providing consultation and feedback on curriculum development and the strategic orientation of health-related programs; conducting scientific research and applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare; organizing professional practice activities for students; participating in teaching, delivering specialized lectures, and assessing students' competencies and graduation outcomes; as well as strengthening recruitment linkages and expanding career opportunities for graduates.
In particular, Da Nang Vietnam-Korea Hospital will receive DTU students majoring in General Medicine, International General Medicine, Odonto-Stomatology, Pharmacy, and Nursing for clinical practice, thesis and capstone projects, and graduation internships. This will provide students with valuable opportunities to experience real working environments, develop professional competencies, and accumulate practical experience while still at university.
In addition, experienced physicians and specialists from Da Nang Vietnam-Korea Hospital will collaborate with DTU in teaching, clinical training, scientific research, and career orientation for students. This close linkage between the educational institution and the healthcare service provider is expected to contribute to improving training quality and better addressing the practical demands of modern healthcare.
The signing ceremony not only demonstrates the commitment of both institutions to building a sustainable partnership but also promotes stronger integration among education, research, and professional practice. It also represents an important step in DTU's strategy to enhance the quality of health sciences education, with the goal of training healthcare professionals who possess strong academic expertise, solid practical skills, and the adaptability required to meet the evolving demands of the medical profession in the digital era.
