“Good Body and Health with Yoga” Talk-Show at DTU

On August 8th, the DTU Women’s Union and the Suc Song Moi Yoga Studio held a “Good Body and Health with Yoga” talk-show at 3 Quang Trung, Danang. Yoga coaches Nguyen Thi Lan Huong and Nguyen Thi Kim Thu, from the studio, DTU lecturers and staff participated.

The talk-show was part of a series of activities the DTU Women’s Union has been conducting to improve the physical and mental condition of DTU lecturers and staff, by teaching them some special new techniques to prevent common illnesses.
Nguyen Thi Lan Huong explained that Yoga benefits our health by improving body flexibility, building muscle strength, preventing cartilage and joint deterioration, strengthening bones, increasing blood flow, balancing the nervous system, boosting our immune systems and making us happy. Practicing yoga also helps us perfect our posture and live longer.

Le Thi Anh Minh, of the DTU Department of Scientific Management and Technology Transfer, said: “The talk-show was a great opportunity for me to learn about the fundamentals of yoga and its health benefits. I hope that the DTU Women’s Union will hold more events like this one to make us healthier.”
