DTU Runs a Training Course on Windows Phone 8.1 Apps Programming

On June 19th, the DTU Center for Career Training and Development ran a training course on Programming Applications for Windows Phone 8.1 for students, specialists and programmers working for IT companies in Danang. Microsoft specialists explained the details of programming Windows Phone 8.1 Applications to boost the confidence of attendees in understanding and supporting local market demand.

Microsoft specialists provided trainees with a general knowledge of Windows Phone Programming Applications and the tools and skills necessary building applications for Windows Phone 8.1. They then assisted the trainees to build at least one application on Windows Phone Store.
     
Mr. Huynh Bao Toan, a Microsoft specialist, said: “Microsoft, in collaboration with DTU, hosted HACKATHON 2014 on May 17th and 18th, and I was one of the judges. DTU students proved their talent and innovation in the development of practical applications. By providing this training course at DTU, we hope to deploy the latest techniques in this field to help the students work more efficiently and program more impressive applications.”

Attending the training course, Nguyen The Vien, a student of K18TPM, in the DTU IT Faculty, said: “It was a short training course but necessary for IT programmers like us. We have learnt how to design games using Unity 3D, develop interesting ideas to build new and attractive games, and deploy applications on mobile phones. We have had an opportunity to learn about the latest techniques of programming Windows Phone 8.1 applications from local Microsoft specialists.”
 
The training course was a vital way of improving the programming of mobile phone applications at DTU, a field with increasing demand for highly-trained local resources, both today and in the near future.
