On January 21, 2026, Times Higher Education (THE) announced the 2026 World University Rankings by subject. Vietnam has 11 universities ranked across 9 subject areas.
The rankings are based on 18 performance indicators grouped into five core pillars with the following weightings: Teaching: 29.5%; Research Environment: 29%; Research Quality: 30%; Industry: 4.0% and International Outlook: 7.5%
