In the vibrant atmosphere of emulation celebrating the 96th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (founded February 3, 1930) and the success of the 14th National Party Congress, the DTU Party branch solemnly convened its 2025 Party wrap-up conference. Party organizations and members who fulfilled their duties with distinction in 2025 were commended and rewarded, and directions and tasks for 2026 were outlined.

At the conference, comrade Vo Thanh Hai, standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, presented the summary report on Party development in 2025, and introduced the resolution on directions and tasks for 2026 and on plans for Party member recruitment across the branch.
To wit, 2025 was a year of special significance for the DTU Party branch, as Party and state implemented policies to restructure and streamline the political system; the DTU Party branch held its 9th Party Congress for 2025–2030; and it marked the first year that DTU’s development strategy for 2025–2030, with a vision to 2045, was in effect. Furthermore, the DTU Party branch transitioned its affiliation from the Hai Chau district Party Committee to the Party branch of the Danang People’s Committee this year.

In this context, the DTU Party Committee worked closely with the university Council and Board of Directors to promote emulation, widely disseminate and implement Central Party resolutions, and focus leadership and directions on fulfilling political tasks and Party development, important contributions to the university’s stable and sustainable development.
Under the leadership and guidance of the Danang People’s Committee Party Committee and the close coordination of relevant divisions, DTU fulfilled its duties with distinction in 2025. The university also rose in the QS World University Rankings, from 495th best university in the world in 2025 to 482nd in 2026, further affirming the key role of Party work in the the university’s development and international integration.

A conference-wide consensus was reached on directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for 2026, focusing on enhancing the leadership capacity of the Party branch and the quality of Party members; developing a DTU Party branch that is politically steadfast, ideologically strong, professionally competent, and exemplary in ethics and lifestyle; and creating stronger momentum for rapid and sustainable development while maintaining and improving the university’s position in prestigious global rankings.
At the conference, comrade Phan Thanh Hai, Party Committee member, Party sub-branch Secretary, and Provost of the School of Business & Economics, shared his experience in Party sub-branch development - with five consecutive years of fulfilling tasks with distinction under his belt, particularly in member recruitment.
Comrade Nguyen Gia Nhu, Party Committee member, Party chapter Secretary, and Provost of the School of Computer Science and AI, reported on training and professional development solutions to teach cadre, Party members, and lecturers how to apply AI effectively and improve their work quality and efficiency in the context of rapid digital transformation.
Delivering his directive remarks, comrade Nguyen Dang Huy, full-time Deputy Secretary of the Danang People’s Committee Party Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the role of the DTU Party branch: “The DTU Party branch is a key low-level Party organization under the Danang People’s Committee Party branch. Its role and position are highly regarded. With the guiding principle of ‘developing the Party to develop the university’, together with the remarkable achievements of being among the world’s top 500 universities and having many disciplines in the world top 100, I’m confident that Party development and the development of DTU will continue to steadily in the time ahead.”
Regarding tasks for 2026, comrade Nguyen Dang Huy emphasized: “In 2026, the DTU Party Committee should focus on leading and directing the successful fulfillment of the political tasks of the school; maintaining and improving its standing and rankings; and accelerating the development of science & technology, innovation, digital transformation, and international integration. It should develop an upstanding and strong Party organization; improve Party chapter activities; and focus on training and recruiting Party members, especially among students. This will enhance the prestige and position of DTU in this new stage of development.”
As part of the congress, 27 Party chapter secretaries, Union chairs, and Youth Union secretaries signed commitments with the Party Committee Secretary to recruit new Party members and to efficiently develop and implement models of “clever mass mobilization” and of exemplary youth in studying and following Ho Chi Minh thought, ethics, and style.
The Party Executive Committee also awarded certificates of merit to two Party chapters and one sub-branch who fulfilled their duties with distinction in 2025:
- sub-branch of the School of Business & Economics,
- chapter of the University Council Office,
- chapter of the School of Computer Science & AI.
The Party Standing Committee also decided to award seven Party members who fulfilled their duties with distinction in 2025 and met the criteria for certificates of merit from the Danang People’s Committee Party Committee and the Danang Party Standing Committee for five consecutive years of fulfilling their duties with distinction.
In his closing remarks, Meritorious Teacher and Hero of Labor Le Cong Co, Secretary of the DTU Party Executive Committee and DTU Council Chairman, acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements by the entire Party branch in 2025. He emphasized the need to continue fostering unity, innovation, and creativity, and to remain determined to accomplish the goals and tasks for 2026. He called on all Party members to continue improving their professional qualifications, engaging in scientific research, mastering AI, and upholding their pioneering and exemplary role as the core force in developing a strong Party branch - contributing to the robust and sustainable development of DTU, and its comprehensive international integration.
