In April 2025, right at DTU, audiences had the opportunity to enjoy a special concert titled “Dream Concert Da Nang 2025”, hosted by the New York Classical Music Society (NY CMS).

This concert was part of the Vietnam-Korea Cultural Week, organized by DTU in collaboration with the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations in Da Nang, with the participation of numerous delegates, faculty members, and students.

Fifteen talented artists from the New York Classical Music Society delivered impressive performances with timeless works by renowned composers. These pieces, loved worldwide and featured in many major musical events, captivated the hearts of the audience.

During the three main concert nights, audiences will enjoy a rich and diverse program featuring a wide range of genres spanning different periods of music history. At the same time, numerous activities dedicated to the development of the art of classical guitar will be organized, creating opportunities for young artists and audiences to interact, learn from one another, refine their techniques, and inspire the wider guitar-loving community.

Over the past two years, DTU has continuously hosted world-class concerts, each one serving as a journey of musical expression that transcends time, shaping an emotionally rich atmosphere and fostering deep connections between people through music.

Through these experiences, students gain direct access to the essence of world music, enhancing their musical appreciation and artistic thinking, which has enabled many of them to achieve significant and prestigious awards in related fields.

DTU lecturers and students make their mark

With a rich, expressive voice, solid vocal technique, and a professional stage presence, M.A. Le Thi Hong Van (stage name Le Van) delivered an outstanding performance to win the Gold prize in Vocal Music, Category D, at the Crescendo International Music Competition 2025, jointly organized by the Vecchi-Tonelli Conservatory and the Italian Ministry of Culture.

Le Van fully captivated the jury with her emotionally charged rendition of “Con Te Partirò” (Time to Say Goodbye), thereby affirming the high caliber of the vocal lecturers at DTU on the international stage.

Another award of particular note is the First prize in the Music category, conferred upon DTU Vice Provost Prof. Tran Huu Dang for his composition “Lòng Bi?n” (Heart of the Sea) at the Literary and Artistic Composition Contest themed “The Seas and Islands of Vietnam and the Soldiers of Naval Region 3.” Prof. Tran Huu Dang is not only a highly respected leader and scientist at DTU, but also a deeply emotional artist whose creative works have earned widespread admiration.

His work is not only artistically impressive but also carries a proud message dedicated to the soldiers who tirelessly defend the sacred sovereignty of the nation’s seas and islands.

At DTU, there is also a student named Ro Lan Lê Tr?ng (Lee Tr?ng), majoring in Graphic Design, who has created a number of distinctive and highly original musical works with a unique personal style.
One notable music video, “ViEt Nam, Let’s join hands”, which spread the spirit of “art for the community,” was composed and produced by Lee Tr?ng almost immediately as a tribute to the organizations and individuals who devoted themselves to overcoming the aftermath of typhoon Yagi.

On another international stage, Khai Yen (Nguyen Thi Thao Ni), a vocal lecturer at DTU, won five awards in the Special Theme (Pop Song) - Youth (Senior), Class B category at the 2025 International Vocal Open Competition, held in Hong Kong with the finals in Malaysia. Khai Yen currently works at Silver Swallows Studio (SSS), a highly inspiring environment, marked by systematic investment in film, media, performing arts, and content creation, helping students develop deep knowledge and understanding of their favored fields within culture and the arts.
