On December 20, 2024, DTU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sogang University, South Korea to enhance global research collaboration. Attendees included Dr. Lee Sang Gun, Head of the BK21 Group of Sogang University; Dr. Lim Sang Taek, Dean of the DTU International School, along with many staff members representing both institutions.
Founded in 1960, Sogang University is a prestigious private university located in Seoul, South Korea. It is one of the leading multidisciplinary institutions in the country, offering over 27 different majors. Currently, Sogang University has over 8,000 students, including more than 3,000 international students from various countries around the world.

At the signing ceremony, Dr. Lee Sang Gun stated: "After some time of getting to know and starting joint activities with DTU staff and faculty, I can clearly see the enthusiasm, passion, and ambition demonstrated throughout our collaboration. We are certain that we will learn many valuable lessons on structured training programs, specific career divisions, management experiences, and more, which we will apply appropriately at Sogang University. We hope that the collaboration between DTU and Sogang University will bring many opportunities for academic exchanges, information sharing, and meaningful activities for the faculty and students of both institutions."

DTU and Sogang University agree to sign an MoU for various areas
Following the discussions and mutual agreement, DTU and Sogang University, South Korea, have signed a cooperation agreement covering the following main areas:
- International exchange and enhanced research collaboration related to the agreements;
- Sharing of training programs;
- Promoting joint research, joint seminars, research discussions, and international activities;
- Supporting DTU's "Train the Trainers" program, and more.
The signing ceremony for joint research between DTU and Sogang University has opened up new opportunities for exchange, learning, and research for the faculty and students of both universities. It contributes to enhancing the quality of education, promoting the development of international cooperation in the field of education, and providing the best learning experiences for students.
