On November 8, 2024, Duy Tan University signed an agreement with the Korea IT Cooperation Center (KICC) in Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Park Min Kyu, Head of the Korea IT Cooperation Center in Ho Chi Minh City; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lim Sang Taek, DTU Vice-Provost; along with staff and faculty members from both institutions and a large number of students from the DTU International School attended.

This event marks the beginning of an extensive partnership between the two institutions aimed at promoting workforce development, recruitment, and research in the field of Information Technology, bringing significant benefits to both parties. DTU and the KICC in Ho Chi Minh City have identified the following areas of common interest for cooperation:
- Workforce Training: DTU strives to train human resources for software development, information technology, and communication companies, with the goal of providing high-quality personnel to the IT industry in Central Vietnam.

- Recruitment Support: The KICC enhances recruitment support programs for Korean IT companies in Central Vietnam, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for these businesses.
- Workshops: Both parties collaborate to hold specialized workshops involving Korean IT companies, providing opportunities for DTU students and staff to participate in and learn from the practical experiences of industry experts.
- Research on Information and Communication Policies: The two sides jointly research policies in the field of ICT technology in Korea and Vietnam, offering insights into the technological development landscape of both nations.
- Expanding Collaborative Projects: DTU and the KICC continue to seek collaborative projects to promote mutual development in the technology sector.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Park Min Kyu, Head of the in Ho Chi Minh City, said: “The KICC in Hanoi was established in 2018. In 2019, we opened the KICC in Ho Chi Minh City, a hub for the rapidly growing information technology sector. Since then, we have also collaborated with many businesses and universities to jointly train high-quality human resources for the IT field. Currently, KICC in Ho Chi Minh City is expanding its reach to Central Vietnam, focusing on workforce training for this region. We hope that our partnership with DTU will create significant advancements in human resource development and boost growth of the IT sector in Central Vietnam and the entire country as well.”
