Japan is a highly developed country where corporations and businesses are always looking for qualified employees with good Japanese language skills. On March 2, the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Engineering and Technology, the DTU Faculty of Japanese and the Quy Khanh Training and Consultancy Company jointly held a “Career Orientation and Internship Program in Japan” seminar.

Attendees learned details about studying in Japan for Japanese degrees, and the special technical internship and recruitment programs provided by the Japan-Vietnam Institute of Engineering and Technology. The degree studies include 2+1+2 and 3+1+1 programs, and the graduate recruitment program provides highly qualified professionals to Japanese companies in Japan and Vietnam.
Mr. Hidetaka Tsujibayashi said: “I would like to tell you that firstly, your Japanese will improve significantly if you go to Japan. Secondly, you will be able to intern at Japanese companies, but I hope that you will have higher aspirations. In addition to learning Japanese, you will become an expert in a specific field and work hard for a promotion to a managerial position.”
Mr. Nguyen Huu Quy, Director of the Quy Khanh Training and Consultancy Company awarded five scholarships to DTU Faculty of Japanese students and interviewed those interested in applying for the six-month international internship program in Hospitality in Japan.

The potential interns must be majoring in Japanese language or in Tourism and hold an N3 ranking in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, or the equivalent. In Japan they will earn a salary from 70,000 JPY to 80,000 JPY, equivalent to 14 million VND to 16 million VND. They will intern at Japanese, European or American-style hotels and may then be recruited to work long term in Japan in hotel restaurant, event, room, reservation, reception and welcoming services.
