Graduation day for the students in the Troy program at Duy Tan University (DTU) was filled with joy and pride. Holding diplomas awarded by Troy University (US) - American degrees conferred right here in Vietnam - the newly graduated were proud of their knowledge and confident as they embarked on a new journey.

This year’s graduation ceremony was especially meaningful, as Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., Chancellor of Troy University, and Dr. Sohail Agboatwal traveled from the US to Danang to witness and celebrate this moment when the Troy graduates came of age. Their presence reflected the deep and lasting relationship, respect, and support that have grown through years of collaboration.

Huynh Nguyen Ngoc Tan, the valedictorian in Computer Science, graduated with a GPA of 3.92 and received summa cum laude honors - the highest honors for graduates with outstanding academic achievement - from Troy University. “The keyword I choose for my journey is ‘effort’,” he said in an emotional and inspiring speech. “Effort in every course and every hands-on project for solid knowledge, understanding business needs, and being ready for the workforce. Effort allows us to achieve the extraordinary.”

In this memorable moment, Ngoc Tan reserved his most special thanks for his parents, who have always been there for him and supported every decision he made. He also expressed his gratitude to the lecturers at DTU, who always listen and offer support whenever students need it. He believes that throughout everyone’s journey toward maturity, there is always the love of those standing behind them.
