DevDay Da Nang 2026 returns for its 11th year as a familiar gathering of the tech community, a space where new ideas are shared, meaningful connections are built, and innovation thrives.

Experts share their perspectives on the evolving roles of humans and AI through two panel discussions

In 2026, DevDay Da Nang centers on the theme “AI x Human,” exploring the collaborative relationship between artificial intelligence and humans in the era of digital transformation. The event is co-organized by Axon Active Vietnam and DTU, with the support of the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Thach, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology
Mr. Tran Ngoc Thach, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, stated: “DevDay is not only a technology event but also a strong example of the ‘quadruple helix’ collaboration model that Danang is actively promoting, bringing together government, academia, industry, and scientists. Da Nang highly values DevDay as a reputable annual event that plays a significant role in developing the city’s IT community, guiding career pathways for young engineers, and attracting experts and investors to live, work, and innovate in the city.
The ‘AI x Human’ theme aligns closely with Da Nang’s development vision. AI is not a threat but an opportunity for Da Nang and Vietnam’s tech community to advance their position in the global value chain. The city remains committed to creating favorable conditions for businesses, scientists, and young technology enthusiasts to grow, innovate, and contribute to building a modern, livable, and prosperous Da Nang.”

Mr. Markus Baur, CEO of Axon Active, emphasizes the importance
of mastering AI and developing deep expertise in the digital era
After more than a decade of growth, DevDay Da Nang continues to strengthen its position through impressive achievements. Since 2023, the event has consistently attracted over 3,000 attendees each year, bringing together more than 100 companies, sponsors, and partners, along with over 230 speakers from Vietnam and around the world who share knowledge, experience, and emerging trends in information technology. These figures highlight not only the sustained appeal of DevDay Da Nang but also its growing role in connecting the community and advancing the city’s technology ecosystem.

Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice - Provost, reaffirms the university’s commitment
to partnering with industry in developing high-quality technology talent
DevDay Da Nang has become a bridge between academia and industry, fostering an environment where research meets real-world application. Workshops, specialized seminars, and career fairs help students and young engineers expand their career opportunities while enabling companies to connect with thousands of potential candidates in the IT sector. This is seen as a key driver in developing high-quality human resources for the city.

The event attracts a large number of students, software engineers, and technology experts to DTU
A highlight of DevDay Da Nang 2026 is its two parallel panel discussions conducted in both Vietnamese and English. Featuring the themes “Software Engineering in the AI Era: Who Leads, Who Builds, and Who Decides?” and “From Developer to Strategist: How AI Is Redefining Roles, Teams, and Career Paths in Technology,” leading experts offered in-depth insights into the transformation of the tech industry in the age of artificial intelligence.

DevDay Da Nang 2026 continues to reinforce its role as a bridge connecting universities,
businesses, and the broader technology community in Da Nang
Mr. Markus Baur, CEO of Axon Active, said: “I know many people are asking: Will AI replace us? Is studying Information Technology still worthwhile? The honest answer is that no one truly knows what the future holds. However, I see more opportunities than challenges. One thing is certain -if we do not learn how to use AI professionally, we risk falling behind. Mastering AI is no longer optional; it is essential.
What matters most is that: learning to use AI tools may take only a few months, but developing deep expertise in a field requires years. In the future, success will come from the combination of both strong AI capabilities and deep domain knowledge. My advice, especially to young people, is simple: find your strength, go deep into it, and become a true expert. That is what will make you irreplaceable.”
DevDay Da Nang 2026 contributes to promoting Da Nang as an attractive technology destination while strengthening connections between universities and businesses, and fostering closer ties between research and real-world application.
