The competing teams focus on the intense challenges in the finals of the DTU ERPsim League 2025 - Rank C competition

The DTU ERPsim League 2025 competition is held by the DTU Business Intelligence Center (BIC), attracting a large number of students from various economic and technical disciplines within the Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Marketing, DTU SouthStar Management Institute, and International School. Not only is it an academic playground, but the competition also has high practical value as it simulates a real business environment, allowing students to experience enterprise management processes through the SAP S/4HANA ERP system. This is an opportunity for participants to apply their knowledge to solve core management and business issues. The DTU ERPsim League 2025 lasts for five months (from December 9, 2024, to April 30, 2025) and is divided into three levels of challenges: Rank C - Maple Introduction Game (product business), Rank B - Manufacturing Extended Game (extended manufacturing), and Rank A - Manufacturing Sustainability Game (sustainable manufacturing).

The Rank C, Maple Introduction Game, attracted 14 teams. After several rounds of intense competition, the organizers selected the top 10 outstanding teams to advance to the finals where teams must flexibly apply business strategies to run a company specializing in importing maple syrup from Canada and distributing it in three regions: North, West, and South of the German market. The challenge requires students to manage resources well, optimize procurement processes, make sales plans, and coordinate inventory in order to maximize profits in a highly competitive business environment.

The competing teams (consisting of 3-5 members each) had to go through 4 rounds, with each member taking on a specific role in production management, finance, sales, or procurement. Each team started with a certain amount of inventory and focused on selling products in the first round. Starting from the second round, teams actively managed planning, procurement, ordering finished goods, sales, and replenishing inventory based on market demand. Products were distributed through the supermarket system (DC 18) in three main regions of Germany: North, West, and South. Companies competed directly to maximize profits and meet market demand in real-time. The entire process, from procurement, sales, financial accounting to business operations, was carried out on the SAP S/4HANA system, allowing participants to experience a realistic digital business environment.

After the intense and dramatic rounds of competition, the organizers awarded:

-    A First place to Team 014 - Baby Five
-    A Second place to Team 006 – Winter
-    A Third place: Team 011 - External Stars
-    Two Consolation prize to Team 002 - Limitless Ambitions and Team 009 - Iron Alliance.

In addition, the top 10 outstanding contestants in Rank C were honored with the "Wise Contestant" award by the organizers to recognize their impressive performance in the competition.

According to the plan, the Rank B finals will take place in March 2025, followed by the Rank A finals in April 2025, promising even more exciting and intense competitions. Stay tuned for the thrilling upcoming rounds of the DTU ERPsim League 2025!
