As a call to intellectuals and those passionate about scientific research, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation, signed by General Secretary To Lam, serves as a guiding principle, motivating the spirit of all people. In this spirit, on the afternoon of February 21, 2025, DTU launched the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW by the Politburo, with the hope of making a contribution to the country’s significant transformation in the fields of Science and Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation.

Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, DTU President, delivered a speech at the Launching Ceremony
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Hero of Labor and Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co, Party Secretary and DTU Chairman, stated: "The rapid development of Information Technology in recent years has posed numerous challenges for most sectors, organizations, and even universities. In response to this reality, universities must promote innovation activities to master technology and keep up with the new advances of global civilization.
To implement and turn Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW by the Politburo into reality at DTU, the university's teaching staff must first master AI tools in teaching, with the School of Computer Science being the leading school in guiding and supporting the entire staff. Therefore, DTU fully supports Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW by the Politburo and has begun specific action programs to implement the contents related to curriculum innovation, training for teaching staff, investment in scientific research, and more."
DTU President Dr. Le Nguyen Bao affirmed: "As the saying goes, ‘Even a single word makes a teacher, and half a word also makes a teacher,’ but in modern education, the role of the teacher is gradually changing. The teacher of today and the future must master technology and guide students how to acquire practical skills to keep pace with the development of the digital age. Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW by the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation is highly practical to ensure that Vietnam is not left behind in the global technological advancement. DTU is actively implementing various activities, including the announcement of new chatbots by the School of Computer Science in March, and teams from the Center for Electronics-Electrical Engineering (CEE) and the Center for Mechanical Engineering (CMI) are expected to release AI-powered robot products for training in the fields of Tourism and Logistics in June. We are also implementing Microlearning, a teaching method that maximizes the learning process at DTU."

Prof. Dr. Duong Quang Trung presents his research on "Applications of AI and Quantum in 6G."
At the Launch Ceremony, Prof. Dr. Duong Quang Trung, an outstanding research leader from Canada, Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, Director of Research at the Royal Academy of Engineering, United Kingdom, and Professor at Queen’s University Belfast, UK, presented his research on "Applications of AI and Quantum in 6G."
According to Prof. Dr. Duong Quang Trung, the 6G mobile communication technology is expected to be globally commercialized by 2030, integrating advanced technologies such as AI, Big Data, and Blockchain to build a super -intelligent society based on four key pillars: intelligent connectivity, deep connectivity, heterogeneous connectivity, and comprehensive connectivity. With its ultra reliable low latency communications, 6G will enable the deployment of various innovative applications such as 360-degree virtual reality (VR), smart factory automation, autonomous vehicles, and remote healthcare.
In Vietnam, Prof. Dr. Duong Quang Trung has taught DTU students in the fields of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering. He has held many meaningful international conferences at the university, such as the International Conference on Computing, Management, and Telecommunications (ComManTel) and the International Summer Research Camp.
Currently, Prof. Dr. Duong Quang Trung serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the journal EAI Endorsed Transactions on Industrial Networks and Intelligent Systems, and Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, DTU President, serves as the co-Editor-in-Chief. This journal is co-sponsored and published by DTU and the EAI (European Alliance for Innovation), which has 90,000 members from 167 countries.
