The song “Dau la Tet”, composed by Ro Lan Le Trong (stage name: Lee Trong, a DTU Graphic Design student, resonated with deep emotions at the Vietnamese Music Gala 2025 on the evening of January 17, 2025. The song was performed by four singers -Thanh Duy, Bui Cong Nam, Thien Minh, and Duy Khanh - who previously gained fame in the “Anh trai vu?t ngàn chông gai” music show.
“Dau la Tet” was specially composed by Lee Trong for the Vietnamese Music Gala 2025 as part of the New Songs New Year songwriting campaign. With an upbeat tempo, cheerful melody, and joyful lyrics, the song perfectly captures the vibrant atmosphere of spring. Throughout the song, the fresh and exciting elements of Tet are highlighted, bringing moments of warm family gatherings and the lively energy of the year’s end and the beginning of a new one.

Lee Trong shared: "Tet is a beautiful cultural tradition of the Vietnamese people. I wanted to capture the joyful atmosphere of the days leading up to Tet, which is why ‘Dau la Tet' is filled with moments of anticipation as people eagerly head to bus and train stations to return home, and with the thoughtful preparations of parents in the countryside. For me, Tet is also about the moments of reunion with family and friends, gathering around a warm meal to share old stories and celebrate the successes of the past year. I poured these heartfelt yet lively emotions into my new song."

Recently, Lee Trong, in collaboration with partner organizations and artists from Da Nang, released the non-profit music video “Viet Nam chung tay nhe” (Vietnam, Let’s Join Hands). The MV serves as a tribute to the groups and individuals who made significant contributions to recovering from the aftermath of Storm No. 3 (Yagi) in the northern provinces. The song, co-written by Lee Trong and Ton That Vu, was arranged and produced by Phan Nhat Linh, with vocals contributed by 15 artists actively working in Da Nang.
Studying Graphic Design at the DTU School of Engineering & Technology (SET), Lee Trong strives to excel academically while nurturing his dream of becoming a versatile designer. He aspires to take on diverse roles in artistic projects, including songwriting, music arrangement, and graphic design for music and art-related ventures.

Despite achieving notable success in music composition, Lee Trong remains humble and consistently works hard to expand his knowledge. Drawing from personal life experiences, this talented student pours his heart and meticulous care into every musical creation, using each project as an opportunity to gain valuable lessons and experience for the journey ahead.
He said: "I hope to achieve excellent academic results at DTU in 2025 and gain more opportunities to learn from senior artists. My goal is to create more meaningful songs that promote positive values, focus on our country, and reflect the profound experiences of youth.
