Medical Student in Beauty Pageants Wishes to Promote Vietnamese Culture with her Youth

Gen-Z student Le Khac Anna boasts an impressive academic record alongside her natural beauty. With her continuous participation in beauty pageants, this 2004-born young woman wishes to promote the cultural beauty of Vietnam to the international community.

Le Khac Anna was born in 2004 and is currently a student of General Practitioner at DTU. The 20-year-old beauty stands at 1.7 meters tall and has a well-proportioned figure. She also has previous experience with a beauty pageant. Although her long dedication to the Miss Culture & Tourism Vietnam 2024 contest did not earn her the top title, she nevertheless left a strong impression as a girl who would rise to any challenge.

“More than a personal award, this is an opportunity for me to help promote the culture and beauty of our country to the international community,” Anna explains. “The feeling of being recognized and get a chance to represent the tourism sector is a source of motivation for me to continue working to bring positive value in my upcoming activities.”

About her experience during the beauty pageant, Anna reveals that she had to sacrifice time with family and friends and time for herself to stay completely focused on completing the organizers’ challenges. “Interacting with talented and creative young women in particular broadened my perspective and taught me many valuable lessons,” she confides. “I think that’s the cost of great opportunities, and it’s completely worth it.”

Anna explains that she deliberated a long time whether to return to the beauty pageant circuit. The mindset of a 20-year-old General Practitioner student is also different. She believes that every experience, even if imperfect, is an opportunity to learn and grow.

Although she did not achieve a high position despite her good appearance and education, Anna does not believe this means she is not meant for beauty pageants. She considers this an opportunity to better understand her strengths and weaknesses. “What matters is what I learnt from it,” she says. “I’m always proud of my accomplishments and I cherish every opportunity the contest gave me, regardless of the outcome.”

After the competition, Anna set her sights on promoting the beauty of Vietnamese culture & tourism to the international community, to live up to the award she just earned. Despite her busy schedule, she lives by the principle that she must continue her studies and graduate.

“People often ask me why I chose to become a doctor when I could follow in my family’s footsteps,” Anna says. “I think that, with this profession, I can contribute more to the community.” She explains that she will balance her artistic activities with the profession she is training for.
