DTU is the First University in Vietnam to "import" the iTero 5D Plus Scanning machine for Training in the Dentistry field

On April 9, Align Technology Vietnam Company held a handover and training session for the iTero 5D Plus scanning machine for the staff and lecturers of the DTU School of Medicine and Pharmacy at 120 Hoang Minh Thao Campus. Mr. Sandeep Dinesh Padubidri, Commercial Director of Align Technology Company in Vietnam; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Dang, DTU Vice Provos; along with staff, lecturers from the DTU Faculty of Dentistry and the DTU Medical Simulation Practice Center attended.

scanner is an effort by the university to best serve the training of the Dentistry profession
 
The iTero 5D Plus tooth scanning machine from Align Technology Group is an AI-integrated scanning device that provides dentists with the most detailed and realistic images, even in deep gum positions, for accurate results within 60 seconds.
 
This is considered a breakthrough dental scanning device in the industry because it can display the dental structure accurately and clearly, overcoming the drawbacks of traditional silicone dental impression methods. Thanks to intelligent technology, the iTero 5D Plus machine provides multidimensional images of teeth, oral tissues, bite joints, and jaw structures.

As of the present time, DTU is the first training institution in Vietnam to invest in the iTero 5D Plus scanner to serve the practical activities and research of students in the Dentistry field. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Dang, DTU Vice -Provost, said: "The decision to invest in the iTero 5D Plus scanner is an effort of DTU to best serve the learning and research activities of Dentistry students. With many outstanding advantages of the iTero 5D Plus scanner, Dentistry students at DTU will have the opportunity to access the most advanced modern technologies as well as support dental research such as orthodontics, dental restoration, dental implantation, etc."

The iTero 5D Plus machine is an AI-integrated dental device, using this technology will help you know the results immediately after braces through 3D visual simulations on the computer. Compared to the iTero 5D machine from Align Technology Group that faculty and lecturers from the DTU School of Medicine and Pharmacy had the opportunity to access before, the iTero 5D Plus machine has significant improvements, detecting oral diseases that normal eyes or X-ray films cannot see. This modern technology can predict the movement of teeth as well as issues arising during the orthodontic process of customers.
