On January 27, a Party 2023 Wrap-Up Conference was held at 3 Quang Trung, Danang. Attendees included Party Secretary Le Cong Co, DTU Chairman; Deputy Party Secretary Vo Thanh Hai, standing Vice President of the university; Party Committee member and Chief of Office Le Cong Kinh; and other members of the DTU Party Committee.

At the conference, Deputy Party Secretary Vo Thanh Hai, DTU standing Vice President, summarized the achievements of the DTU Party Committee in various areas: enrollment, training, scientific research, PhD students, domestic and international training accreditation, and so on. Under the direct guidance of the Hai Chau district Party Committee, the DTU Party Committee always works with the Boards of Trustees and of Directors of the university to lead staff, lecturers, and students towards the outstanding completion of many duties.
The DTU Party Committee furthermore always maintains good relationships with businesses, helps new graduates find employment, fulfills its obligations to the government, takes good care of the living conditions of staff and lecturers, does well at providing scholarships to poor students, policy beneficiaries in difficult circumstances, and high-performing students, tightly manages student affairs, and ensures that political security and safety within the university remain strong.
The DTU Party Standing Committee awarded prizes to Party branches that outstandingly completed their duties in 2023
Some of DTU’s notable achievements in 2023 include: the university ranks in the top 500+ in the QS World University Rankings (WUR) of 2024; it co-organized the successful 17th United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Asia/Pacific Executive Training Program on Tourism Policy & Strategy; DTU scientists enjoy recognition through very high rankings in both Vietnamese and global scientist rankings; DTU’s International Journal of Knowledge & Systems Science (IJKSS) is now indexed in Clarivate’s Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) with an impact factor (IF) of 1.0; DTU students won the 2023 IDEERS Asia–Pacific contest and a gold medal in the 32nd SEA Games, etc.
After reviewing the achievements and identifying the shortcomings of 2023, the DTU Party Secretary outlined the strategic direction for 2024.
At the conference, the DTU Party branch was honored with a certificate of merit from the Hai Chau district Party Executive Committee for its excellent achievements in Party member development in 2023, and a certificate of merit from the Hai Chau district Party Standing Committee for having outstandingly completed its exemplary tasks in 2023. The DTU Party Standing Committee furthermore awarded prizes to Party branches that outstandingly completed their duties in 2023.
“Last year, the DTU Party branch stuck to its key duties and excellently accomplished its goals,” Party Secretary Le Cong Co, DTU Chairman, said. “In 2024, the branch will work even harder to perform its new duties well, overcome difficulties, and address the existing issues in various areas, such as enrollment, education, scientific research, and international cooperation. Every member of the DTU Party branch must continue making efforts in their studies, research, and training to contribute to the development and strength of the university and to outstandingly complete all their duties in the times ahead.”
