Strengthening business relations to improve education, research and career opportunities is a vital objective at DTU, and the university constantly networks with many different types of companies. On March 18th, DTU signed a cooperation agreement with Honda Tien Thu, opening up even more job prospects and attractive incentives for students to buy cars and motorbikes.
At the signing, Honda Tien Thu was represented by Dealership Director, Mr. Tran Tuan Cuong; Sales Director Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai; Honda Vietnam representative Mr. Bui Minh Tien; staff and employees. For DTU, Vice-Provost Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu; Head of Business Cooperation, Dr. Nguyen Duc Hien; Union Secretary Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, and many students also attended.

The agreement is a milestone in the partners’ bilateral relationship, who agreed to cooperate to promote working together to share their strengths and create long-term benefits. The agreement includes:
- Assisting staff, employees and students when they need to buy cars or motorbikes
- Organizing social activities
- Developing professional skills
- Providing job opportunities
- Providing recruitment information
To commemorate the agreement, Honda Tien Thu awarded scholarships to students in difficult circumstances or with good academic achievements, in order to motivate youthful DTU talent, and fulfill the company’s social responsibility to invest in local education.

Honda Tien Thu then organized several activities, with attractive gifts for DTU staff, lecturers and students:
- Safe-driving training for cars and motorbikes
- A free Honda motorcycle oil change
- A lucky draw
- Fun mini-games at car check-in areas

“Traffic safety has always been a major concern in Vietnam, as the number of traffic accidents is increasing to alarming levels,” said Mr. Hai. “Accidents don’t just cause the victim physical pain but also affects relatives and bystanders mentally and intellectually and result in significant material losses to the community. We want to help by offering our training program, which teaches safe-driving skills, how to deal with real-time situations, and provide a better understanding of the safety features on your vehicle. As a result, I hope that you will all drive more carefully and contribute to the improvement of traffic conditions in Danang.”
