Sustainable relationships with business are essential for the university to continue to grow strongly and, accordingly, the DTU Office for Business Collaboration has been expanding partnerships worldwide to graduate a dynamic, talented and highly-qualified international workforce.
Working closely with companies to train highly qualified personnel
Providing a business education conforming with the latest corporate requirements is vital, in order for students to master the professional knowledge and skills prior to employment. In 2022, DTU published guidelines and policies to strengthen business relationships. Companies now work closely with the university to nurture more diverse forms of cooperation, assist in the recruitment of new graduates, provide feedback on their quality, assign business executives to teach, grant scholarships to students, sponsor the university’s equipment, participate in the development of training programs, cooperate in research and so on, to meet the increasing demands of the labor market.

Most notably, DTU is implementing unique training programs on request, and several organizations are now getting used to visiting the university to place their orders for skilled personnel. These include the Vietnam Posts & Telecommunications Group, FPT, the Vietnam Cybersecurity Emergency Response Team, the provincial departments of Information & Communications of Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands, the Department of Information Security of the Ministry of Information & Communications, LG Electronics, and Hitachi Vantara Vietnam, offering DTU students access to experience in IT, Hospitality, Medicine and Economics and other disciplines before graduating into the most appropriate professions.
Seminars and Talk Shows are also indispensable, where experienced business leaders can share information on the latest corporate trends and, in 2022, 319 of these events were held. These included seminars in Medicine, such as the one entitled: “Odonto-Stomatology, choosing the right step for the future”, “Professional ethics”, “Infection control”, “Patient communication & safety”, and “Sex education - showing the right way so the deer do not run astray”, given by Department of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, & Odonto-Stomatology Deputy Head MD Le Thi Thu Ha, Department of Pediatrics Gastroenterology Head MD Nguyen Thi Hoang Ha, Chief Nurse Luu Thi Bon of the Danang Hospital for Women & Children; Department of Trauma Orthopedics Head MSc MD Nguyen Dinh Kien, and Chief Nurse Tran Thi Thanh Nhan of the Military Hospital 17, as well as Talk Shows in Economics, such as : “Real people, real jobs - speaking with enterprises”, “Marketing in the digital age”, and “Sharing startup experience and marketing strategies for businesses”.

While DTU maintains strong ties with education departments in Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands, the university also partners with those in Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Dak Lak and Gia Lai, to organize seminars, Science & Technology contests and events for high school students to share information on research methods, and soft skills improvement, such as project presentation, poster design and communicating with a jury. The university always supports contestant teams by offering them access to fully equipped, modern laboratories and workshops with the latest equipment.
Solving problems
DTU has partnered with business for many years at home and abroad to provide students the ideal opportunity to practice, observe, intern and then work, but a continuing social concern is that there are too many teachers and insufficient workers, or graduates must work in fields different to the ones they were trained in, or else join the ranks of the unemployed. The DTU objective is to train students who can immediately adapt the labor market anywhere to reach their career goals
