On December 12, Dr. Le Nguyen Tue Hang, DTU Vice-Provost and Director of the P2A Secretariat, hosted the 6th P2A Annual General Meeting online because of the continuing pandemic threat.

Attendees included Mr. Jeroen Schedler, P2A Director of Strategic Planning and Advancement and Assistant President of Internationalization at Rangsit University in Thailand; Dr. Wing Raharjo, P2A Director for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Vice-Provost for Partnership and Entrepreneurship at the Universitas Islam in Indonesia; Dr. Amado Magsino, P2A Executive, Vice-President for Academic Affairs at the International Peace Leadership; and leaders, delegates and coordinators from P2A member schools.
Dr. Tue Hang said: “I am happy to see all of you online. Hopefully, we can meet in person at the 7th P2A general meeting in 2023. Despite our challenges in 2022, P2A worked hard to maintain the Virtual Mobility program and continue student exchange activities. We would especially like to thank our coordinators, including Mr. Nguyen Huy Phuoc from DTU; Ms. Leslie Chan from Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore; Mr. Jade Thum from Sunway University in Malaysia; and Dr. Engelbert C. Pasag from Panpacific University in the Philippines for developing and managing our P2A Virtual Mobility Program during the pandemic from 2020 until now.”

P2A is focusing on cultivating its image in ASEAN region and attracting more educational organizations to become members, with seven new ones announced at the meeting:
- Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik in Indonesia
- Institut Teknologi Nasional Yogyakarta in Indonesia
- Technological University Taunggyi in Myanmar
- City College of Calambain the Philippines
- Liceo de Cagayan University in the Philippines
- Davao del Sur State College in the Philippines
- Capital University in the Philippines
Representatives from the new member schools expressed their excitement in joining P2A and emphasized their readiness to participate in activities to enable their students to interact with others from ASEAN and explore their futures together.
Mr. Jeroen Schedler said: “It is wonderful to meet all the new P2A members online and we warmly welcome you. Despite the pandemic, our students have adapted to adversity and worked hard. It is wonderful to have more new member schools day-by-day, P2A belongs to us all.”
“Temasek Polytechnic is in charge of P2A Mobility and worked with the P2A Secretariat in 2022 to deploy our Virtual Mobility exchange program for ASEAN students”, said Mr. Lim Teng Leng, Deputy-Director of International Relations at Temasek Polytechnic. He looked forward to even more international exchanges for announcement in May and November 2023, maintaining the virtual mobility programs if necessary.
Dr. Hang presented her plans for 2023:
- Restarting the P2A internship program
- Widening the P2A network among ASEAN and other countries, including Korea, China and Japan
- In July, P2A will hold an “ASEAN-KOREA - K-CONNECT” contest to promote ASEAN and Korean relationships, held in Seoul, Korea, and Danang, Vietnam
- Online and offline systems to help students choose the most appropriate courses, depending on their circumstances.
P2A also focuses on developing student the entrepreneurial skills through the annual “SEAN Virtual Entrepreneurship Hackathon, leading to the P2A Entrepreneurship Network.
