On September 25th, the Lien Chieu District Police and the DTU carried out a firefighting and rescue drill at the DTU campus at 120, Hoang Minh Thao str, Hoa Khanh Nam ward, Lien Chieu district. Colonel Le Tho, Deputy Head of the Lien Chieu District Police, was present at the drill.
In the hypothetical situation, at around 8:55 AM, a fire occurred in room 401, on the 4th floor of building C at DTU due to a short circuit. The university immediately used the available means and tools to put out the fire and called the relevant forces.
Receiving the news, the Lien Chieu District Police quickly sent firefighters to the scene. Thanks to the great efforts of the firefighters, the fire was completely extinguished within 10 minutes, minimizing the spread of the fire. Then the Lien Chieu District Police and DTU assessed the situation.
The purpose was to check whether the safety equipment at the university is maintained and can be operated effectively. Also, the drill helped enhance the coordination between functional forces in case of incidents while raising awareness and responsibility for fire prevention in the school.
