On March 21, Dean of the Faculty of Japanese Assoc.Prof. Dr Nguyen Thi Bich Ha, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities Dr Nguyen Van Duong, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Korean MA Huynh Sang, and many lecturers from the DTU School of Foreign Languages & Social Humanities welcomed and worked with a delegation from the Faculty of International Relations, University of Social Sciences & Humanities, National University Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) led by the Dean Dr Bui Hai Dang and containing Vice Dean MA Nguyen Van Phai and lecturers.

In name of the delegation, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations of the HCMC University of Social Sciences & Humanities Dr Bui Hai Dang thanked the DTU representatives for their warm welcome. A spokesperson of the delegation furthermore expressed the wish to expand comprehensive collaboration between the two universities, such as in training, scientific research, and student and lecturer exchange.

“DTU and the HCMC University of Social Sciences & Humanities have started collaborating very early in many fields,” Dr. Bui Hai Dang said. “We wish to continue developing this partnership, especially in training and in student and lecturer exchange between the two universities, to provide students and lecturers of both our school with many new experiences. Furthermore we’d like to collaborate in scientific research, organizing conferences to improve training quality for participating lecturers, and the organization of cultural and academic exchange programs for students in the near future, to foster the relationship and partnership between our universities.”

Vice Dean of the DTU Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities Dr. Nguyen Van Duong listened to the opinions from the spokesperson for the HCMC University of Social Sciences & Humanities. As such, DTU is always ready to work with the staff and lecturers from the partner university to hold student and lecturer exchange and to exchange ideas on curriculum development. They would furthermore send lecturers and students to the Conference on China–US Bilateral Relations held soon at the HCMC University of Social Sciences & Humanities. Dr Nguyen Van Duong also discussed project applications for scientific research jointly with the partner university.

The leadership of the two universities will investigate, discuss, and sign some collaboration agreements based on the two sides’ strengths and similitudes. This will lead to many more meetings and work visits, and eventually the establishment of long-term friendly collaboration.
