The 2021 Online Student Talent competition was launched in September by the DTU Faculty of Architecture & Applied Arts, and enabled participants to demonstrate their talents and meanwhile remain fully motivated during the pandemic. Submissions included paintings, photographs, video clips, short stories and fashion designs.
The “K267 Gala” collection wins first prize
On December 10, contestants competed in two rounds and 30 works out of 80 were selected for the finals and screened publicly. Winners were announced after the organizers and local business judges reviewed the student presentations online.
Second prize went to Truong Duc Phuc, from the K25ADH class
The results were:
- First prize to the K267ATT team
- Second to Truong Duc Phuc, from K25ADH
- Two third prizes to Nguyen Nhat Tan, from K26KTR and La Tran Nhat Uyen, from K27ADH

The K267ATT team won first prize this year with an impressive video introducing a fashion collection created by DTU K26 and K27 students majoring in Fashion Design. In addition, a DTU School of Technology award was presented to Nguyen Van Hau, from K23ADH, and six top 10 prizes and five Business Choice Awards to other outstanding candidates.

Dinh Cam Tu, a freshman K267ATT team member, said: “My teammates and I were quite excited to hear about the competition but were worried because of our lack of experience. However, we were strongly encouraged by the K26 team and our lecturers, who helped us overcome a few difficulties and perfect our product. I was extremely proud to be awarded first prize and benefited most of all from our teamwork with more senior students and the K27 freshmen. We were unable to attend on-campus classes but made many new friends anyway. We now feel closer to the university after participating in faculty and more general activities online".
