On October 27, Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, DTU Provost, Dr. Le Thi Ngoc Cam, Dean of the Korean language faculty, and International Relations staff met with Mr. Ahn Min-sik, the South Korean Consul General for Danang; Ms. Choi Kyeong Joo, Diplomatic Attaché and Mr. Kim Dae Eun, Consulate staff.

Mr. Ahn Min-sik congratulated DTU on their impressive achievements over the years, especially the establishment of the Korean Language faculty. He shared his impressions of the Vietnamese culture and spirit and his desire to promote Korean culture in Vietnam through cultural exchanges.
South Korea has always been a major investor in the north of Vietnam. However, lately, more Korean tourists have visited and companies expanded into the center of Vietnam. As a result, the Korean government decided to open a consulate in Danang as a bridge between the two countries in both business and culture.

Dr. Le Nguyen Bao overviewed a number of key disciplines at DTU, including Hospitality and Tourism, Health Sciences and Electrical Engineering. He stated that the DTU Electrical and Electronic Engineering program has recently received
ABET accreditation until 2026. DTU also partners with Purdue University to offer advanced programs in Electric, Electronic Engineering and Mechatronics. In Tourism, DTU has just founded the Hospitality and Tourism Research Institute and constructed hotel practice rooms.
In the field of Health Sciences, DTU collaborates with the University of Pittsburgh, one of the most reputable medical schools in the US, to improve the quality of training at DTU. Dr. Le Nguyen Bao expressed his wish to expand cooperation with the Korean Consulate General in Danang.
Dr. Le Thi Ngoc Cam introduced Korean staff who hold key positions at DTU, including Dr. Lim Sang Taek, Director of the Tourism Research Institute; Dr. Lee Yoon Sun, Director of the Vietnam-Korea Traditional Folklore Institute; and Dr. Chun Kyung Soo, Director of the Language Institute. He emphasized that DTU is now focusing on Vietnamese-Korean exchange programs and other activities to open up more career opportunities and broaden the understanding of the land of Kim Chi, with high expectations.
