Nguyen Thi Anh Truc won a Consolation prize in Geography in the National Excellent Student Contest and Pham Huy also won a Consolation prize in the Pleiku Provincial Science and Technology competition for High School Students. Both have just been admitted directly to DTU.
Pham Huy will study Medicine at DTU to become a physician, like his father
Pham Huy was born into a family with a long tradition in medicine, always wanted to follow in his parents’ footsteps, and his father works at the Pleiku hospital. When he entered senior high school, Huy set himself annual goals and is studying hard for his dream to become true. In addition, due to outstanding performance over the years, his dedication was rewarded by two major prizes in provincial and national contests:
- Third prize in the 2017-2018 Provincial Science and Technology competition for High School Students, with his project “The use of nano tio2 for the purification of oil-polluted water”.
- Fourth prize in the 2018-2019 Provincial Science and Technology Competition, with his project “Study on Eye and vision health of Phan Boi Chau High School students”.

In the 2020 HSGE, Huy scored 25.35, including 8.75 in Chemistry, 8.6 in Math and 8 in Biology and shared some secrets about how to achieve high scores. “As I study, I try to master the basic knowledge and then do research to add to and complete it. I listen to my teachers closely and study from textbooks, additional materials from class and from my father. Time management during multiple-choice exams is very important. I always make accuracy my primary goal, followed by speed.”

Recently, Nguyen Thi Anh Truc, from the Son Vien hamlet in the Duy Nghia commune in the Duy Xuyen district of Quang Nam province, was directly admitted to the DTU ADP Tourism & Hospitality Management program and received many congratulations from her teachers and friends.
Anh Truc studies hard to realize her dream of working in Hospitality
Anh Truc grew up in a poor farming family, has always been very independent and wants to succeed in her studies to help her family. She has been awarded the title of Excellent Student for 12 consecutive years, was admitted to a special History class at the Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted, and gained several awards in Excellent Students contests in Geography:
- In 2019, second prize in the Provincial Excellent Students contest, a bronze medal in the Excellent Student Competition in the Coastal Region and Northern Delta area and a consolation prize in the National Excellent Student contest
- In 2020, third Prize in the Provincial and a consolation prize in the National Skilled Student contest.
Anh Truc said: “A strict study method is required to allocate time between subjects. You should not learn by rote. Follow the lesson outline carefully and absorb the knowledge in more depth. I relax by taking part in several school clubs to improve my soft skills and also run errands for my family. I also enjoy travel, photography, music and the guitar. As far as I know, Tourism in Danang, Hue and Hoi An is developing rapidly, so I decided to enroll in the DTU ADP Tourism & Hospitality Management, in collaboration with Troy University in the US. I will be able to study with foreign students and lecturers and graduate with an American degree, guaranteeing a bright future”.
