On July 11 and 12, DTU collaborated with other related departments to hold a seminar entitled “Startups in the field of renewable energy”. Attendees included representatives of businesses, the staff of the DTU Startup Center and lecturers and students of the DTU Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
Developing renewable energy is an inevitable trend in the future in Vietnam and other countries. Renewable energy is considered a sustainable development trend, and it should be applied to factories, businesses, and manufacturing facilities to save energy and protect the environment. Renewable energy will open startup opportunities for youth because it will be increasingly in demand in the future.

Experts from New Energy Nexus, Vu Phong Solar, QiQ Vietnam, and World Energy Council inspired students with various startup ideas and gave them useful information about startups in renewable energy. They also raised some issues concerning climate change, green energy, models for renewable energy, difficulties startups face and precious advice for students.

The guests shared information on how to build and operate renewable energy projects. DTU students used many projects by DTU students on renewable energy which won prizes in the Go-Green-in-the-City contest over the years , including “Green Roof project,” “A Braking System to convert friction into electrical energy,” “Renewable energy from hot exhaust fans,” and “Harvesting energy from sewers, ” as “demos” to convince investors.
This seminar was very informative. DTU students got a lot of knowledge, skills and startup opportunities.
