On March 1st, the DTU Union organized an annual event, this year entitled, “The 2020 Youth Month Launch Ceremony and Training to Prevent and Fight Covid-19”, to commemorate the 89th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on March 26, prepare for the all-level Party congress and the 13th National Party Congress. 150 Union members and students cleared up the trash surrounding the campuses. This nationwide event was aimed at creating a green and clean environment and to increase awareness of ways of strengthening and ensuring a civilized lifestyle among DTU students.

This was an important occasion for all Vietnamese Union members and young people, especially for DTU Union members and students, to review and take pride in the traditions and achievements of previous generations and demonstrate their youthful strength and bold spirit in the future development of the Union and its young local members.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Secretary and DTU Student Association Chairwoman, stated, “For 89 years, during the development of the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and many generations of young Vietnamese members composed our amazing story. Today the youth of our country, particularly those from Danang and our DTU Union members and students, promise to follow the glorious Party banner. They will be inspired by the revolutionary cause and strive to be virtuous, talented and follow the guidance of Uncle Ho. In Vietnamese Youth Year, DTU Union members and students, confirm their trust in the Party and resolve to lead voluntary activities, such as creatively intellectual contests, international integration and improved standards of education. They must be worthy of being known as a strong union and act as the competent right hand of the Communist Party of Vietnam, particularly the DTU Party Branch.”
DTU Union members take part in “Green Sunday”
Professor Ngo Dinh Nam, the Faculty of Medicine Party Branch Secretary and a member of the university Union Standing Committee, gave some useful information about the prevention of Covid-19. As the situation becomes more complex, DTU has cleaned and sterilized all campuses and put a system in place to maintain hygienic conditions. Body temperature measuring devices and thermometers are being used and the DTU Union has put a team of one hundred volunteers together to measure staff and student temperatures.
