Five teams from the Duc Tri school and three from the Huynh Ngoc school in Hue adroitly maneuvered their robots by arranging colored hub blocks in building zones, moving bonus hubs far from hanging structures, suspending bonus hubs from hanging bars and so on. The teams became familiar with the robots and programming techniques beforehand and showed great dexterity and accuracy in robot assembly and their mastery of robot operations, which demonstrated their confidence and creative skills. Pham Tan Tai went about his difficult task undaunted, employing the specialized knowledge and skills he had already learned at DTU.
He explained: “The time I spent preparing the children for the contest at the DTT Eduspec JSC - STEM Institute was really interesting. Firstly, I taught them the basic skills of robot assembly, programming robots, software applications for smart data processing and how to use restricted space. This allowed us to work closely together as a team and taught us how to be patient, creative and solve problems.”
DTU faculties, such as Electrical Engineering and the International School, have been actively supporting local primary and secondary school for many years now, in preparation for scientific and technological contests. DTU has created the ideal environment for lecturers to answer student questions and offer professional advice, using the latest facilities and equipment to develop winning products.
