Starting on March 31st, the 2017 National English Olympiad held by the University of Foreign Language Studies (UFLS) - Danang University attracted a large number of students from universities and colleges nationwide.
Beating many strong teams from around the central region, the DTU team - together with 5 other teams: the University of Foreign Languages - Hue University, the Foreign Language Faculty - Nha Trang University, the UFLS - Danang University, the University of Economics - Hue University and the Danang University of Economics (DUE) - Danang University - attended the Regional final.

The 2017 National English Olympiad contest provides a great environment for students nationwide to use English independently, promotes the movement of learning English over the country, and contributes to implementing the project entitled “Teaching and Learning Foreign Languages in the National Education System, 2008–2020”. Competitors have to go through three rounds: an Online test, a Regional Final and the National Final. With the theme of “Vietnamese students: proving creativity, expanding horizons and integrating into the world”, the contest focuses on general knowledge of the culture, geography, history and socioeconomic of our country in the current period.
The DTU team enters the Regional Finals 2017
The DTU team has seven members, who are students of the UIU On-Site Study-Abroad program. DTU students frequently join English clubs and the English Debate contests annually hosted at the university to improve their speaking and listening skills as well as their presentation skills.
