Modern DTU facilities
Most linking program students already have full-time jobs, so the courses are relatively short in duration, with a chance to study in the evenings, after work. The linking program from Vocational high school to a Bachelor degree takes from 2 to 3 years and in Pharmacy from 3 to 4, while linking programs from Associate degree to Bachelor take from 1 to 2 years and in Pharmacy from 2 to 3.
To ensure students of a high-quality education and degree, with the best possible career opportunities, DTU also offers advanced programs from several well-known international universities. Among these are Carnegie Mellon University, one of the top US universities in Information Technology, Pennsylvania State University, one of the leading universities in Hospitality and Management worldwide and the fifth largest US public university, California State University Fullerton and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, leading universities on the West Coast in Construction and Architecture, the University of Illinois in Chicago, which has the largest Medicine and Pharmacy programs in the US, Purdue University, in the top ten US universities in Engineering and the University of Pittsburgh, ranked fifth in medical research.
In common with students in the regular Associate and Bachelor programs, students of the DTU linking programs study to earn credits. Students can register for up to 19 credits, with an annual tuition fee of 14.4 million vnd, but only pay for 16. In 2017, DTU is introducing preferential admission policies to encourage special students.
For example, one preferential point is added for applicants of Nursing and Pharmacy, if they meet one of the following criteria:
* If they have been residing in a KV1 area, as stipulated in 2008 by the government, or in a poor district for the 36 months immediately prior application, or:
* Have been working for the past 12 months in a department or hospital specializing in tuberculosis, leprosy, psychiatry, forensics or surgery.
In addition, 0.5 points will be added for applicants to Nursing and Pharmacy if they have been:
* Officially residing in a rural area for at least 36 months prior to the time of application.
DTU also has other preferential policies, such as:
* A tuition reduction for students whose parents are injured or sick war veterans
* Low-cost dormitories renting for 80,000 to 100,000 vnd per month
For the 2017 enrollment season, DTU enrolls applicants for its linking programs based on:
(1) High Graduation Examination results
(2) Admissions Exams
