In 2017, with its increasing educational strengths, DTU continues to enroll Economics, Administration and Tourism & Hospitality students.
As one of the main providers of Hospitality resources in the Danang area, with a strong tradition in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance and other disciplines, DTU will continue enrolling students for Economics, Administration and Tourism & Hospitality degree programs in 2017. DTU offers a high-quality education, including advanced international and study overseas programs and on-site study-abroad opportunities, with scholarships for students with outstanding high school or Graduation Exam results.
DTU collaborates with well-known universities and businesses nationwide
The DTU Faculty of Accountancy and Business Administration offers eight majors:
- Business Administration

The DTU Faculty of Accountancy and Administration has a staff of four PhDs, ten post-graduate and three graduate lecturers. Most of them graduated from universities in the US, Germany, South Korea, Singapore and Canada. The staff have published two hundred papers in prestigious national and international journals. DTU lecturers proactively contact local businesses to broaden internship and career opportunities for students, at Danang Port, Danang Rubber, Agribank, Vietinbank, BIDV, Vietcombank, and so on. 70% of DTU Accountancy and Administration students are offered jobs on graduation.
Studying Accounting or Administration at DTU, students have access to excellent training programs, resulting from many years of international partnerships, aimed at improving the university’s education. In 2009, the university collaborated with Pennsylvania State University, one of the leading universities in Economics & Management, to transfer advanced academic programs and exchange faculty. DTU arranges regular faculty exchanges with many other universities, such as San Jose State University, Appalachian State University, St. Ambrose University and others.
DTU has adopted PBL (The Problem-Based Learning/Project-Based Learning System), a new teaching methodology used in developed countries worldwide for Accountancy and Management education. Education at DTU has now become student-centric and, as a result, the quality of education has significantly improved. With PBL, DTU students have also become more proactive in their studies and internships.
Meanwhile, DTU has hosted several contests for students of Accountancy and Management, to demonstrate their ability and creativity, at the Social Venture Plan and the Business Ideas competitions, for example. Many of the winners were chosen to participate in international competitions and won valuable prizes, in the Go Green in the City and the Social Venture Plan competitions, and at the CDIO Academy.

Tourism and Hospitality
DTU has always regarded Tourism & Hospitality as one of the university’s three educational spearheads, because Tourism is the focal point of the economic development of Danang. With twenty years of teaching Tourism & Hospitality, DTU leads the effort to provide a stronger workforce to Danang, to Central Vietnam and to other more remote locations, such as Phu Quoc and Halong. DTU Hospitality students are recognized as having international standard training and advanced skills.
The DTU Faculty of Tourism & Hospitality offers three majors:
- Tourism & Hotel Management
- Tour Management & Operations
- Tourism & Restaurant Management
DTU partners with Pennsylvania State University, one of the five leading universities in Tourism & Hospitality education. In the joint program, students receive an international education, taught by American lecturers and they graduate with PSU qualifications. 70% of the DTU Tourism lecturers receive annual training at PSU and the parents of DTU students have a high regard for the quality of education.
Meanwhile, DTU is now investing in the development of a special hotel, with a restaurant and training rooms. Hospitality students will be able to practice serving at a real bar, working in a kitchen, in a restaurant, reception or hotel rooms right on campus in the new model university hotel, with thirty rooms of different star quality levels, where students, visiting lecturers and foreign students can practice and exchange professional skills.
Consistently valuable awards won by DTU students and lecturers of Tourism over the years include a first prize in Graphic Design, a third in Culinary and Restaurant service, two firsts for team and delegation in the 2016 Danang Summer Destination program, a first Delegation prize and a second prize in the 2013 Danang Hotel Receptionist contest, and a first at the 2014 Vocational Teachers’ Festival. Cao Thi Cam Huong and Le Huu Luat, lecturers in Hospitality & Tourism, were awarded the Best Paper prize out of seventy-six entrants at the 3rd World Tourism conference and the 17th International Joint World Cultural Tourism conference. DTU has also worked with international organizations to organize special conferences in Tourism & Hospitality.
Local tourism companies, such as the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, the Four Seasons, the Nam Hai, the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa, Saigontourist, Vitours and others, have provided DTU students with internships and job opportunities.
In 2017 DTU will grant scholarships to Accountancy, Administration and Tourism students:
- Full 100% tuition scholarships for enrollees in any major in the advanced international PSU program, for students with a High School Final Exam score in three subjects of 20 or more.
- Ten scholarships from Pennsylvania State University for 10 million VND each.
- Twenty scholarships of 5 million VND each for enrollees in the advanced PSU program, except for Tourism.
