Three Thousand Attractive Jobs Await Danang Students

On June 3rd, seventy-five companies participated in the “2016 Jobs Fair”, organized by DTU and the Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, offering three thousand jobs to students from Danang, Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands areas.

The Jobs Fair was attended by 12,000 new Masters, Engineering, Architecture and Bachelors students from DTU and other universities and colleges in Danang. The fair gave students an opportunity to learn about the hiring policies and requirements of businesses in several sectors, such as Information Technology, Business Administration, Hospitality, Finance and Banking, Construction and Electronics. By way of booths and hiring stands, businesses connectedwith students through discussions, Q&A sessions, gave guidance on improving job applications and on how to present themselves professionally. They talked about their experiences in real-life work situations and how to build a career in various companies.

The fair offered local businesses, such as the Mercure Danang, the French Village at Ba Na Hills, the Almanity Hoi An Resort, Axon Active Vietnam, Truong Hai Auto, the Saigon Hanoi Bank and Danang Building Management and Exploitation JSCto locate highly-qualifiedcandidates meeting their requirements. They provided hiring information, received job applications and conducted interviews.

Since 2006, DTU has provided companies with over 5,000 applicants per year. The 2016 Jobs Fair was an ideal opportunity graduates to find a job conforming to their aspirations, to alleviate problems that students might encounter on graduation, to enhance relations with local companies and the standard of education at DTU.

Previously an average of 90% of DTU students found a job within six months of graduation, including 100% of Software Engineers, confirming the quality of educationat the university. DTU graduates possess a strong professional foundation and businesses value them highly for their soft skills, English and informatics skills. Many of them have since been appointed to key positions in government agencies and companies. DTU students have been learning how to become truly global citizens, confidently forging international friendships through the P2APassage to ASEAN program and Singapore Polytechnic’s Learning Express. They have also excelled in national and international academic competitions.
