On March 19th, an agreement was signed with the Song Thu Corporation to teach English for Shipbuilding, which laid the foundation for a long-standing business partnership. On April 27th, a ceremony was held to announce the course, with Colonel Duong Quoc Viet, Deputy Director of the Song Thu Corporation, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice-Provost, and staff and lecturers from the DTU Vocational School and the Song Thu Corporation in attendance.

DTU is now honored to partner with the Song Thu Corporation to develop a specialized English course in shipbuilding. DTU is committed to providing high-quality training, tailored to industry requirements to help employees improve their English and their job performance.”
The Opening
The course was designed by the DTU Vocational College, based on the Song Thu specifications, to provide 120 employees with a basic knowledge of English, including vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. They will also learn specific vocabulary for use in their everyday work activities, how to read and understand technical drawings, to learn more about shipbuilding and how to communicate with foreign visitors and co-workers.
The course will be divided into two levels, Basic English and Advanced English. It will be taught by two American and six Vietnamese lecturers from the DTU Vocational School, from May 3rd until July 24th. At the end of the course, employees will be awarded a Certificate at the A2 English level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
