On March 4th, the DTU International School held a workshop and recruitment session in conjunction with the Gelimex Electrical Engineering Company. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Deputy Director of Gelimex attended, with Mr. Tran Van Duc, Head of the CSU International School department, together with lecturers and students from the International School and Business Administration.

Gelimex is a successor of the Electrical Appliances Company, which was run by the Ministry of Trade. It specializes in the production and sales of electrical equipment, conducts consulting and technology transfer services and provides solutions pertaining to computer networks, email, websites, LAN ad WAN management, business administration software and so on. Over the last 40 years, Gelimex has established a brand and gained a strong position in the marketplace, with well-known, high-quality products and services.

“To impress a recruiter, you need to be prepared to demonstrate the knowledge and skills you acquired during your school years,” explained Mr.Trung. “You also need to fully understand the needs of the company and be able map out your future career strategy in that company. In addition all students should practice their foreign languages, as well as improving their soft skills, working methods and self-discipline. Furthermore, you should learn from other students with more practical experience than you and go for several job interviews, to increase your self-confidence and be able to quickly grasp at suitable, new opportunities.”
The workshop encouraged students to refine their information sources to learn and plan more about their future careers. Gelimex representatives interviewed students for two positions, as Sales staff or Sales Associates. The recruiters hired three students from the International School, Pham Trung Hieu, from the K18 PSU QNH class, Le Tran Phat, from K19 PSU QNH, and Phan Thanh Nhan, from K20 PSU QNH.
DTU students were able to meet company representatives and learn about job requirements. At the same time, Gelimex were also able to recruit three new, high-quality staff members.
