The 2015 International East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Trade, Tourism and Investment Fair kicked off in the central city of Da Nang on July 30 and will close on August 4th. With more than 400 booths representing 200 enterprises, units, and trade promotion organizations, domestic and worldwide, the six-day event attracted a large number of visitors.
On display are tourism products and services, trade and investment projects, consumer goods, electronics and information technology, food processing equipment, traditional crafts fashion, garments and textiles and interior decorations. Participants also discussed and called for investments in real-estate projects.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Phung Tan Viet, Vice-chairman of the Danang People’s Committee, said: “The fair provides a good opportunity for enterprises in countries along the corridor to seek business partners and expand their markets, contributing to boosting the socio-economic situation in the region.”
The DTU’s pavilion at the Fair
The DTU Center of Electrical Engineering is doing its utmost to improve its research in order to produce innovative products, leading to new scientific breakthroughs.
Products designed by the DTU Center of Electrical Engineering were exhibited at the Fair, including: a robotic mower, an automatic gauze folding and rolling machine, an intelligent smartphone recharger, an electronic queuing system, a smart parking system, a multi-biometric authentication system, a safe drive warning system, an energy-saving LED controlled via Bluetooth on a Smartphone and others.
The Center of Electrical Engineering has been conducting research and applying their advanced technology knowledge in real life to manufacture useful products to better the lives of people. Their early achievements have encouraged staff and students to work hard to do as much research as possible and develop more and more useful products.
