On December 14th, the DTU Center for Arts and Sports visited and donated gifts to poor households in Tan Doi village in Dai Loc, Quang Nam.

Tan Doi village is surrounded by mountains. Most residents are old people and children. The young people left the village to work to earn a living.The people of Tan Doi just wish to have a full meal and a warm coat in the cold winter.
Empathizing with the people of Tan Doi village, the DTU Center for Arts and Sports visited and donated some presents to encourage them and partly share the difficulties they have faced. Thousands ofinstant noodle boxes and hundreds of clothes were handed over to each household. Furthermore,the DTU Center for Arts and Sports also donated 3.000.000VND to six poor households in Tan Doi village. Peoplewere moved when receiving presents of love. Children felt happy to have warm coats to wear in the cold weather.

Mr Ho Huu Sim, Tan Doi village headman, said:
“We are very grateful to DTU staff for the support. The aid will not only help the households overcome the difficulties, but it will also become an invaluable encouragement for them to try more to have a better life.”
In order to prepare for the donation in Tan Doi Village, the DTU Center for Arts and Sports appealed to benefactors in Danang city for their support and organized a meaningful music performance to raise funds for charity on December 11th.
The DTU Center for Arts and Sports also raises a charitable fund named “VTM Giving”. The center performed many charitable activities such as supporting typhoon victims in Quang Binh province, issuing two hundreds charitable meals at General Hospital in the north of Quang Nam province and collaborating with Danang Pink Lotus Bud Club for raising funds.
Although the value of the presents is not high, everyone can feel the compassion of each member of the DTU Center for Arts and Sports. They just wish to contribute to helping the people of Tan Doi have a warm winter.
