The Danang Information Technology and Electronics Exhibition took place from August 30th to September 1st, at the Danang Exhibition Center. More than forty local companies participated. Exhibits included office and entertainment equipment, electronic components, computer hardware, telecommunications equipment, digital products, network equipment and more. DTU’s popular display demonstrated computer software applications.

The exhibition was organized as part of the 2014 Danang Business Program in order to promote business and provide an opportunity for local companies and educational institutions to introduce their products and technologies and find Vietnamese and international partners to cooperate on the development of Danang into smart-city, with a synchronous, modern IT and telecommunications infrastructure.
At the DTU booth, visitors had a chance to view new technology being researched and developed at the university, including a teaching system called Kineet, Photo Backup software and a kit for controlling robots, with robots playing football and inspecting bridges. The DTU Microsoft Innovation Center also demonstrated Smartphone applications.

Mr. Tran Le Thang Dong from the DTU Center of Electrical Engineering said:
“The DTU Center of Electrical Engineering is currently conducting several technology projects, including motherboard processing for the E-Free Commerce Company in the US, who manufacture equipment for automated vehicular control. The Exhibition has proved to be an excellent venue for DTU to demonstrate new software products and form partnerships with local software companies, to design and develop applications to meet increasing customer demand.”
