Let’s Kick-Start Our Careers at the 2014 DTU Jobs Fair

On May 31st, in collaboration with the Central Vietnam Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, DTU held the 2014 Jobs Fair which attracted forty companies from Danang and surrounding provinces in the Central Region. There were 1,400 job vacancies and 2,135 job application forms were received. The Jobs Fair is just one of DTU’s traditional annual events designed to create better career opportunities for graduates.

Having collaborated with DTU to organize the Jobs Fair for many years, Ms. Vo Thi Kim Ngan, Chief representative of the Central Vietnam Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper said: “The Jobs Fair is an excellent event for DTU graduates to meet with local companies to broaden their skills and point them in the right direction to focus on suitable future careers. We will continue to enhance our partnership with DTU and make sustained efforts to create more job opportunities for students.”
 
 
The event attracted a lot of students

Mr. Adwin Chong, Director-General of the VinPearl Luxury Resort, said: “The 2014 DTU Jobs Fair is a great opportunity for employers to establish collaborative programs with DTU, to meet with students and help businesses to build bilateral partnerships with each other. We have been looking for talented students for our projects and the Jobs Fair is the very place we can find them.”

At the event, DTU signed partnership with eight Tourism companies, including Ba Na Hills, LAGUNA (Vietnam), the Travel Mart Company, Ben Thanh Tourist, the Luna Diamon Hotel and others. Under the agreements, partners will work with DTU on internships and recruitment and provide training courses to improve job skills. DTU will collaborate in research and training and ensure highly-qualified human resources to meet local demand.
 
The 2014 Jobs Fair also attracted students from other universities and colleges in Danang. During the event, students were able to meet potential employers and take part in job interviews.
 
The Central Vietnam Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper is continuing its partnership with the DTU Job Promotion Center by processing application forms for both full and part-time jobs. Through the 1,400 job vacancies announced at the 2014 Jobs Fair, students have a strong advantage as they start looking for jobs.
