Mobile devices now play an important role in our society and have brought great benefits to meet our needs and make us more responsive and efficient.
DTU is the first university in Vietnam to design its own website on Mobile Web. On May 20th, DTU inaugurated its new Web Mobile, enabling users to access detailed information about DTU.
Mr. Dao Phuc Minh Huy speaks at the inauguration
The DTU Mobile (
http://m.duytan.edu.vn) and Enrolment Mobile (
http://m.tuyensinh.duytan.edu.vn), run on various types of mobile devices, from smart phones, to phablets to tablets. DTU programmers have designed two websites supported by Windows Phone, IOS, Android and BlackBerry technology. These websites were especially designed for mobile devices and the information and images are sharp and big enough for viewers to read and see without having to strain their eyes or to zoom in.
Mr. Dao Phuc Minh Huy, a Microsoft specialist, said:
“With two newly-designed websites, DTU is the first university in Vietnam to pioneer mobile applications for student use. In the 2014-2015 enrolment sessions, students will directly benefit by using Enrolment Mobile to learn more about DTU. This inauguration demonstrates the great progress in IT educational applications at DTU. On May 17th and 18th, DTU, in collaboration with Microsoft, hosted the MOBILE HACKATHON 2014. Pham Van Thu, a senior student, won first prize. We are collaborating with Microsoft to establish the Microsoft Innovation Center at DTU. Students in the Central Region will be supported with the technology and finances to create and develop innovative IT products.”

DTU programmers are currently developing more software and mobile applications to support faculty and students in accessing and using IT services, such as the portal myDTU for iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
DTU Web Mobile is a strategic, practical IT project to promote and implement in higher education. It will create better opportunities for faculty and students to connect with each other and also improve the quality of education. It will help users have a broader view of DTU activities before they make their final study and career decisions.
