Currently there are twenty-five disabled orphans being cared for at the orphanage, which is managed by the Red Cross Association. From birth, these children have encountered major difficulties just surviving. Some of them have cerebral palsy and cannot control their muscular movements like normal people can. They are always happy to see visitors.

Hoang Quang Huy, the DTU Forum Administrator, said: "Having donated to charitable causes for many years now, DTU is delighted to visit local orphanages and poor villages in remote areas to support disadvantaged children. These children are always in need of our emotional and material support to alleviate some of their difficulties and pain. The clear objective of the Volunteer Club of the FDTU is to continue to maintain our support for the poor, especially children."
The DTU delegation assisted the Da Nang Orphanage to provide the under-privileged children with nutritious food and improved health-care. Although the donation was modest, it demonstrated the concern of DTU for the local community, based on the spirit of multual affection, to relieve the pain of the disadvantaged. Living is caring, so let’s provide sympathy, support and encouragement to these young children to help them overcome their problems.
