On December 22nd, DTU commemorated the 69th
Anniversary of Vietnamese Soldiers’ Day (1944-2013). Attendees included Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co, DTU President and Provost, and veterans who have been teaching at DTU for many years.
Mr. Tran Hong Phong,
Dean of the DTU Politics Faculty, recalled the spirit of Vietnamese soldiers
over the years. There was a moment of silence as they remembered General Vo
Nguyen Giap and the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our independence.

On behalf of the DTU Board of
Rectors, Distinguished
Teacher Le Cong Co offered his sincere thanks to the veterans for their
dedication to the development of DTU over the last 19 years. He expected them to
continue their contributions to DTU in the future.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Cuong, a lecturer at the DTU Center for Physical Education and National
Defense, said: “We have been teaching at DTU for a long time. We will
keep the spirit of traditional Vietnamese soldiers alive and continue to work
hard for the development of DTU.”
The meeting was an opportunity
for veterans to
recall the harsh years of fighting to protect our country and for DTU students
to show their appreciation and gratitude for the sacrifices of previous
generations.
