The 21st century is the century of the knowledge economy, when Information Technology will be vital to boost our standard of living. This is why, since the early days of its inception, DTU has decided that IT is the key to the academic advancement of training and research. DTU and Carnegie Mellon University, one of the four leading American universities in IT, signed an agreement for the licensing of Software Engineering, Information Systems and Network Security curricula to DTU. DTU has now become a respected provider of a well-qualified IT labor force in the Central Region. All the students participating in this competition are outstanding. I want you to succeed and continue to enter many other international contests to foster your careers in IT and contribute to the development of our country."

Information Technology is a science which helps promote the development of many other sciences and spurs the economy at the same time. So investing in ICT training and research is a necessary step in business and universities. DTU is a multi-level, multi-discipline university. The rapid development of IT in recent years has confirmed the strategic vision of international collaboration and training improvement established by the DTU Board. DTU has become a well-known source of qualified IT staff in the Central Region and DTU students have done well in many contests, both national and international. These two big Information Technology competitions have become significant annual events for participating students.
