On May 26, an English Singing Competition was held by Ms. Pamela and the DTU International School, drawing hundreds students to Hall 713.
Prize winning performance by K16PSUQNH3
PSU students from six K16 and K17 classes competed in 12 performances (6 duets and 6 choruses). “On The Wings of Love” was performed in six different styles by six couples, with the audience experiencing diverse interpretations of the song. Six renditions of “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing” brought much excitement as the students demonstrated their abilities as music conductors.
The judges
Judges included Mr. Nguyen Duc Man, Vice-Dean of the DTU International School, Ms. Dorothy Lynn Culjat, DTU faculty, Mr. Paul Dennis Tarrant, Karma Waters Vegetarian Food shop owner (in Hoi An) and Thai Son Beatbox (top 5 in Vietnam’s Got Talent). They decided to award first prizes to K17PSUKCD2 and K16PSUQNH3.
Ms. Dinh Thi Ngoc Lan from K16PSUQNH3 said: “We were all eager to compete as this was a good chance for us to practice our English pronunciation, learn new vocabulary and become more motivated to study English. The competition brings us together. We would like to thank Ms. Pamela and the DTU Provosts for holding this event”.
